The pre-made hidden mount buckets have a 1 1/2 inch radius, which allows your average grease monkey to achieve a nice, tight fit after a quick visit to the hardware store.  Make sure your hole saw was intended for use on metal.  Trying to use a wood bit on the tanks metal will yield disastrous results.
