We
first introduced you to the steel
stylings of Kyle Krejci and Independent
Gas Tank Co. last year (HRB July 2000)
when we followed along the build up of
several outrageous custom coffin tanks.
Since then Klye has been insisting that
we abuse one of his creations on the dyno
to prove their superior durability to
aluminum tanks. Now that Mule 2 is up and
running on a regular basis, what better
time than during our sheetmetal issue to
scoot out of the office and pick up a new
tank for the bike. as a diversionary
tactic, we threw couple weekends' worth
of classified ads at Frank and told him
that we swore we remembered seeing an ad
for free Sprint parts somewhere-we just
couldn't remember which day or paper they
were in. With the boss man preoccupied
with scouring through a stack of fine
print, we hightailed it our of town to
Gilbert , Arizona, the home of
Independent Gas Tank Co. (IGTC).
With the help of the IGTC crew, we
designed a new style of tank that looks
bitchin' while staying true to Mule 2's
style. now that Mule 2 looks double bad,
I'll have to keep "borrowing"
it from Frank.
